FENOCHEM

Fenochem is a molding compound consisting of Phenolic-Novolac resin modified with organic and inorganic fillers and is available in black, brown and limited number of dark colors.

The characteristics of Fenochem grades are strictly tied to the nature of the fillers used. The result is a wide range of grades for distinct applications. In general, products molded with Fenochem exhibit hard and glossy surfaces, good mechanical characteristics and optimal resistance to heat, combustion, solvents, weak acids, oils and weak bases.

Fenochem applications include:

  • Automobile parts

  • Household products

  • Consumer appliances

  • Machine knobs and handles

Fenochem is well-suited for compression, injection and transfer molding and is available in granular form.

Fenochem phenolic molding compound can produce glossy or textured surfaces. Fenochem phenolic molding compound is well-suited for compression, injection and transfer molding. Parts for automobiles are one application for Fenochem phenolic molding compound.

Fenochem molding compounds are available in three general grade levels:

Fenochem GP: suitable for general purpose products, such as sanitary and household items

Fenochem MR: formulated for parts that require high mechanical resistance

Fenochem HT: suitable for parts requiring high resistance to heat, such as handles for pots and pans or bases for clothes irons
